Test today in Health Systems. We studied the chapter on Hospice. The extra credit was an essay type question where our instructer asked about the role of a Pharmacy Tech in a Hospice Pharmacy. Some of what I wrote struck me as very insightful so I decided to share.
"...I know how important it is to make sure the patient is comfortable, not sufferering. ...strong communication skills, compassion, a willingness to help, to be able to deal with and accept that death is a humbling, spiritual and natural part of life, and that every person, old or young, no matter their disease, deserves the respect and dignity of a peaceful, pain free passing."
