On CSI in S3 Greg was caught in a lab explosion and suffered, according to the script, full thickness burns on his neck and back. (Even though in a S5 ep, his back was completely unblemished. *rolls eyes*) I researched full thickness burns and found out that they're what you normally call third degree burns, requiring skin grafts and usually leaving visible scars. My question, for those of you who might have an idea, is how the healing burns might be treated. We saw Greg in the hospital, lying on the side worst affected and not obviously hooked up to any type of IV, but we don't know how long after the explosion that was. I know there would be skin grafts, but would a patient stay in the hospital for the duration? Or would he be released to go home, so long as someone was there to take care of him? Would there be bandages with some kind of ointment or salve?
Like I don't already have enough of those. Heh.
The cases that the team works on, would they be considered public record, available to the entire lab/pd, or only to those who work on the case? I got a story where Greg is caught up in a case similar to what Nick went through with Kristy and I need to know who would have access to the case, the records, to everything that happened. Thanks!
