I just found poems that I wrote over ten years ago! Boy was I a teenage fangirl! lol

I Could - (written about an ex-boyfriend I couldn't let go of)

I could,
Keep loving you every day of my life
I could,
Hope that one day you would come back to me
I could,
Reach out and pull you near to me and show you that I love you
I could,
But it would only hurt me deeper
And disgust would shine in your hazel blue eyes.

He Calls To Complain - (written about a guy friend I had a massive crush on - it's all true, btw)

The phone rings,
It’s him again
All I hear should be a sin
He calls me up
To just complain
About this and that
And who’s playing what game

His girlfriend
Isn’t being nice
Last I heard
She was cold as ice
His best friend
Is as lazy as can be
The television
Is all he seems to see
A girl who has a crush on him
Is getting on his nerves
‘a slap in the face’ he says
‘is all that she deserves’

like I said
he calls to complain
everything he says sounds so lame
that I get a headache
from the strain
of listening to him
complain, complain, complain
